Jonathan and Molly’s Story

Nov 01, 2021

Molly has reminded me the dark times don’t last and that time heals all wounds.

Molly has become a rock in my life.  I've struggled with my mental health for years and have been in treatment since 2019.

After receiving Molly June of 2021 with Maine Paws for Veterans, I began to find the motivation again that would pull me out of my black hole.  I wanted to quit the program numerous times after seeing the amount of work and training it was going to take.  I in no way thought I could possibly give Molly the life she deserved. Through the support of my friends, family, Maine Paws for Vets, and most importantly Molly's unconditional love, I kept taking steps in the right direction.

I couldn't have asked for a better dog that fit my current living situation, and I owe all of that to the in-depth approach Maine Paws for Vets took in accounting for a number of variables in my life. Molly has reinvigorated my love for the outdoors and continues to pull me out of my reclusive habits.  For the first time in a long, long time, my outlook for the future has shifted to a positive one.  Molly has reminded me that the dark times don't last, and that time heals all wounds.

I owe this organization an unpayable debt.
